Kimberley is an Award nominated Mental Health Activist, Social Entrepreneur and owner of the social enterprise ‘Keep Real‘ based in Yorkshire, England.


Kimberley is an Award nominated Mental Health Activist, Social Entrepreneur and owner of the social enterprise ‘Keep Real‘ based in Yorkshire, England.

With a BSc (Hons) Degree in Counselling Therapy, and personal experiences of anxiety- Kimberley speaks up about her struggles and has since created her own business to support better mental health in young people and the community.

Having written articles and been featured in BBC Radio 4’s ‘All in the Mind’, BBC Radio Leeds, Rethink Mental Illness, Red Bull Amaphiko UK, Magpie Communications, NRTH LASS and more, Kimberley is a voice for young people in the North breaking down mental health stigma.

Currently, Kimberley is self-employed with Keep Real and freelances in Leeds supporting the delivery of health and wellbeing campaigns with a passion for behavioural change. She is also an ambassador for MQ Mental Health, and a certified member of Social Enterprise UK.

Please note; Although Kimberley does have a a degree in Counselling, she is not an accredited Counselling Practitioner or Mental Health Professional. With personal experience of mental health struggles, and professional skills to support others, this allows her to discuss topics openly.
